Ryan A. Aukerman, M.D.
Dr. Aukerman joined Premier Bone & Joint Centers in 2006. After receiving his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, he went on to complete his medical degree from the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, in Denver, Colorado. Following an orthopaedic surgical internship and residency at the CU, he advanced his training by completing an arthroscopy and complex knee and shoulder sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Aukerman has served as an Associate Master Instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America on several occasions.
Dr. Aukerman is double board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. He is also certified by the American Society of Sports Medicine in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy.
Frequently, Dr. Aukerman is honored to be invited to speak and teach at the most advanced surgical techniques courses around the nation.
There, he and other elite surgeons instruct other orthopedic surgeons from around the world on the latest techniques and advancements in the treatment and repair of complex knee and shoulder injuries.

When he’s not providing world class care for his patients, Dr. Aukerman enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include: fly fishing, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, water skiing, wakeboarding, volleyball, soccer, hunting, hiking and traveling.
